HISTORICAL LEMON FACTS!
The Romans used lemons to keep moths from eating their clothing.
Lemons were once rare that Kings presented them as gifts to one another.
During the European Renaissance, fashionable ladies used lemon juice as a way to redden their lips.
The demand for lemons and their scurvy-preventing properties hit a peak during
the California Gold Rush of 1849. Miners were willing to pay huge sums for a single lemon.
Sailors used to travel with lemons to help prevent scurvy. In the eighteenth century, all British naval ships assigned to long journeys were required to carry lemons. The first major long distance expedition that experienced virtually no scurvy was that of Alessandro Malaspina, 1789–1794.

LEMON-AID TO THE RESCUE
For whiter fingernails and to get rid of fingernail stains, soak your fingernails in fresh squeezed lemon juice for about five minutes.
Prevent dark circled eyes by twice daily applications of lemon juice.
It is proved that lemon stops the free radicals that cause the signs of aging even better than vitamin.
Toothbrushes immersed in lemon juice, diluted with water, remain clean, as well as do the teeth.
Add lemon juice to a stain on cotton and let it sit out in the sun to naturally bleach it out.
Cleans stains on porcelain, copper, bronze and aluminium - dip cloth in lemon juice, polish, rinse with warm water.
